Scar Repair

Hair restoration surgery has come a long way from the "pluggy look" we used to see in the 80's and early 90's. Although new techniques have made hair restoration virtually undetectable if done right, there are still many patients that have been left with visible scars and poor results from previous procedures where old techniques or poor work was performed.

NeoGraft FUE for Repair

NeoGraft FUE is a very useful procedure to fix visible linear scars from previous strip procedures. With NeoGraft FUE we can 'fill in' or camouflage those old scars by transplanting new follicles into the area. In addtion, we can fix the pluggy look from the older or poor hair transplant techniques by either removing the large plugs one follicular unit at a time and reimplanting, or lowering the hairline with single follicular units harvested with the NeoGraft machine to blend the single hairs with the plugs.

 

After female pattern hair loss due to medical conditions, the next most common reason for hair transplantation in women is to correct lost temporoparietal hairlines from face lifts. The chief complaint is the patient's inability to pull back their hair. NeoGraft allows us to place single follicular grafts along the scar to correct the defect.
