Forehead Lift

Medical Term: Coronal lift, Endoscopic Brow lift, Brow lift

Who is a Candidate?

Patients of any age who have deep furrows or frown lines due to stress or muscle activity. Individuals with inherited conditions such as a heavy brow or a low brow or furrowed lines above the nose.

Goal of Surgery:

A more youthful and rested appearance to the forehead and upper eyelids.

Procedure Description:

The procedure is done on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. An endoscopic technique is preferred because it minimizes the number and size of the incisions leading to less pain and a quicker recovery. The forehead skin is then lifted and repositioned.

Postoperative Course:

Bandages are usually removed on the first or second day after surgery. Initial discomfort is easily controlled with oral medication. It is helpful to keep your head elevated for the first two or three days following surgery to minimize swelling. Most patients are up and about within the first day or two. Most return to work in 7 to 10 days.

Other Options:

Additional procedures that may enhance the results are lower and/or upper eyelid lift, face lift, chemical face peel, or facial implants.
